Aloha precious souls, I'm doing in this moment what people like me do best, and that is to spread the news about #soberOctober!
|Break free for 31 days. You will fall in love with yourself all over again, it's never too late to experience liking yourself, respecting yourself, or enjoying your own company uninfluenced by alcohol.|
It's your LUCKY MONTH! The stop drinking challenge you've been praying for is here. Take THIS blog post as a sign to try on sobriety. Not try on *boring ass-do nothing-hate your life*. Just, put down the glass and embrace real presence, teetotaling for 31 days.
Why do people like me share the wealth when it comes to living without booze? Because we must, that's why. When you find something so wondrous, so life-changing, so freeing, you want the world to have that too. It's like *be the peace you wish to seek*. Same thing. Only it's all about living without misery, sadness, destruction, poor sleep, poor diet, awful relationships, missed or poor work quality, money down the drain you could be saving for your dream vacay, house falling apart, losing control....the list goes on. So now we're clear on what booze DOES offer us...let's get to what it cannot.
Wishing isn't part of this equation. The power is already in you to do this.
It's nothing you get from any outside source.
I'm talking about freedom, baby! Try on *not having to moderate*. Try on *a clear head*, *vibrant skin*, *high energy*. Try on *saving all that cash you waste getting wasted*. Try on *delicious, full sleep*. Try on *healthier relationships*, because you get out of your ME ME ME it's all about ME mentality! It's about seeing each day through, with fully present awareness + counting the blessings that life has to offer.
See how dependant on alcohol you truly are, if you are someone who can "stop or quit anytime you want" (as my friend Africa pointed out on her Instagram @blackoutbell this morning). See your core self truly exposed and then embrace that self lovingly because you are so worth this, so worth giving up the booze for 31 days. If you've been wanting a challenge to get you started, this is the one.
I found after the first 31 days of quitting I was on such a roll, in such a wondrous place, that I couldn't go back. I would not and will not go back. Alcohol offers us nothing, you see. It doesn't even really help us *drown our sorrows* because of it's depressant nature, even if we are laughing on the outside, on the inside it's killing us.
Reach out for help, if you need it. See a doctor if you have severe withdrawal symptoms. And remember, you got this. Best decision you'll ever make. Find inspiration at the hashtag #soberOctober. Make yourself a beautiful promise, one you make with your inner little-person, your inner-child. Do this for THEM. <3
Break free for 31 days. You will fall in love with yourself all over again, it's never too late to experience liking yourself, respecting yourself, or enjoying your own company uninfluenced by alcohol. Even if you don’t *have a problem* with alcohol, lol, why not give it a go to test exactly where you stand with it? A little sacred pact for yourself. It would be interesting to see...wouldn’t it?
